The three new board of directors and new officers for the Nebraska Agri-Business Association were announced at the 2024 Summer Convention on August 15, 2024 at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Kearney, Nebraska. Our newly elected Board Members are Trevor Gorecki of Agricultural Services Inc, Doniphan, NE; Colby Clevenger, Clevenger Farm Products, Gibbon, NE; and Joe Sisco, Schuyler Cooperative Assn, Schuyler, NE. Their terms on the board run through June 30, 2027.
Appointed by the Board of Directors, Michael Killinger, Syngenta Crop Protection, Broken Bow, NE, is Chairman, and Jesse Trotter, Trotter Fertilizer, Arcadia, NE, is Vice Chairman. Doug George, George Bros Propane & Fertilizer, Sutton, NE, now completes his last year on the Board of Directors as Past Chairman.
Trevor Gorecki is the manager and agronomist for Agricultural Services Inc. of Doniphan. He has held his current position for seven years. Trevor attended the University of Nebraska and earned a degree in Agronomy. In 2019, he participated in the Association Congressional visits on Capitol Hill, representing the ag retail industry on regulatory and policy issues.
Colby Clevenger has been an owner of Clevenger Farm Products since 2015. He grew up in the family business spending every summer in a sprayer through high school and college. Colby graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2004 with a degree in Business Administration and rejoined the family business in 2013 after gaining experience elsewhere. He is active in his church, having served on various boards and committees, and is currently Chairman of the Finance Board. Colby resides outside of Gibbon with his wife and two young sons.
Joe Sisco is the Assistant Manager at Schuyler Cooperative. He began his career in agronomy in 1992, working as a crop scout in SW Kansas. After graduating from UNL with an Ag Education degree, Joe worked in Agronomy Retail for Cenex Land O’ Lakes, wholesale Distribution for Agriliance, fertilizer sales for Growmark, and then covering multiple states for Midwest Laboratories. With his wife Anita’s support, Joe has been an active member of the Nebraska Agri-Business Association (since 1996) and Nebraska CCA (since 1998).
The association also thanks Doug George for serving as Chairman and Michael Killinger for serving as Vice-Chairman this past year. Both received commemorative items at the convention.
